Kyle Cowens.
Music meets technology.
I’m Kyle Cowens, based in Guernsey. I created Vertex Radio to bring the music I enjoy into a simple, independent listening experience.
Two different sides of the same collection.
Vertex Dance is the energetic side: drum & bass, house, classic trance and full DJ sets. Vertex Chill takes a slower route through beach-club house, Balearic music and sunset chillout. Both stations are built around discovering records and enjoying a flow of music without having to choose every track yourself.
The radio combines a local music library, automated station programming and spoken links with researched stories about the records. It’s a practical experiment in what happens when music curation meets self-hosted technology.
Built and run from Guernsey.
I design, document and maintain the underlying services myself, using the infrastructure behind Vertex Homelab. Working with Linux, Docker, storage and remote access lets me build projects around how I actually want to use them, then keep improving them through day-to-day testing.
That same hands-on approach runs through my other work. I’m behind Repaired Guernsey, a technology repair and IT business, and Vertex Gaming, a DayZ server project involving custom map work, mod configuration and server administration.

Find your frequency.
This project is built for listening. Whether you want an upbeat soundtrack or something quieter, start with the two station previews and take it from there.
